The Care Edit: Starting Over, For Real This Time
I’m Rafat Fields, and this is the beginning of a new chapter in my health story.
I’ve learned that taking care of yourself isn’t a single moment of transformation — it’s a series of returns. You drift, you learn, and if you’re lucky, you find your way back with more grace than before.
This space is me doing exactly that — sharing the real-time rhythm of rebuilding my health and fitness. No filters. No promotion. Just my story unfolding, one step at a time.
The First Time I Changed Everything

Back in 2019, I made a big decision — gastric bypass surgery. It changed my body dramatically, but it also changed how I saw health. I fell in love with lifting weights and learned what strength actually felt like in my own body.
For a while, everything clicked. Then life shifted. The pandemic hit, priorities stretched, and I slipped from that rhythm. Not all the way back to the beginning — just into a new version of in-between.
That’s where I am now. Not at the start. Not at the peak. I'm navigating life in between these spaces.
What This Season Looks Like

This isn’t about chasing my old numbers or trying to prove something. The truth is, the results I generated back then were directly correlated to the goals I set and the plan I built to reach them. My goals today are very different, and so is my approach. This time in my life is about learning to trust my instincts and wisdom more deeply. To honor my inner knowing and creativity.
I’ll be sharing how I’m rebuilding routines, tracking progress, and using tools like GLP-1 therapy to support my goals. You’ll see what’s working, what isn’t, and what I’m adjusting along the way.
I’ll also drop the systems and resources I’m building to build my future — things you can borrow, remix, or make your own.
If You’re Somewhere Between Before and After
Maybe you’re in your own in-between too — not where you used to be, not yet where you want to be.
If so, I hope this series feels like an encouraging hug.
I’m not here to teach, coach, or convince.
I’m here to tell the truth about what it looks like to keep showing up —
to pick yourself up, realign based on what your body is telling you, and keep moving forward while honoring your energy.
I’m in a season of remembering:
I’ve always been qualified.
I’ve always been equipped.
I’ve always been capable.
I can be the architect of my own success.
I lead through chaos by restoring quiet strength.
This is me sharing how I roll.
A gift to the future versions of myself.
A written record for my kids.
A light for every quiet leader walking alongside or behind me —
so you know, without question, you are just as powerful
as any other kind of leader you’ll see on the many stages of your life.
For perhaps, you were created for a time such as this.
